Outdoor Creation completed three productive days at spoga+gafa 2026 in Cologne, Germany, where our team presented a coordinated portfolio of aluminum pergolas, modular outdoor structures, integrated storage, poolside systems and outdoor cooking solutions to international buyers, distributors, designers and industry partners.
Held from 22 to 24 June 2026 at Koelnmesse, spoga+gafa brought together the global garden lifestyle and BBQ industry. According to the official final report, the event welcomed around 1,350 exhibitors from 50 countries and approximately 23,500 trade visitors from 112 countries.
As an international garden trade fair in Cologne, spoga+gafa is an important meeting point for the garden lifestyle, outdoor living, garden furniture, garden retail and BBQ sectors. For Outdoor Creation, the exhibition was not simply a product display. It was an opportunity to test ideas, discuss real project requirements and better understand how outdoor living products are being evaluated across different markets.

A 20 × 15 Metre Booth Designed as a Complete Outdoor Living Environment
Located in Hall 6, Stand A-060 / B-061, our 20 × 15 meter exhibition space was planned as a connected outdoor living environment rather than a row of isolated products. The layout combined adjustable-roof outdoor structures, poolside living, integrated storage, outdoor kitchens, privacy elements, planter boxes, and supporting accessories within one single booth.
The design allowed visitors to move naturally between different applications and compare how individual products could work together. A buyer could view an aluminum louvered pergola system, then examine how storage, screens, lighting, wall panels or outdoor kitchen functions could be added to create a more complete residential, hospitality or retail-ready solution.

From Louvered Pergolas to Integrated Outdoor Living Systems
Adjustable shade remained a central part of the presentation. Visitors were able to examine different aluminum profile scales, roof configurations, louver proportions and side-enclosure options across the pergola range.
These discussions went beyond appearance. Buyers asked detailed questions about roof operation, manual and motorized configurations, product positioning, standard sizes, structural specifications, packaging, installation and compatibility with local market requirements.
The stand also demonstrated how an outdoor metal pergola can become part of a broader functional system. The COMBO motorized louvered pergola with integrated storage showed how adaptable shade and practical organization can be combined within one freestanding aluminum structure.
This concept attracted interest from partners looking for products that solve more than one outdoor-space requirement without creating a visually fragmented layout. Instead of treating the pergola and storage area as separate products, COMBO coordinates their dimensions, finishes, and structural language as one outdoor living system.

Poolside Living, Modular CUBE Structures and Outdoor Kitchens
Another important part of the booth was the full-size modular aluminum Pool House. The display combined a shaded lounge area, enclosed storage and an integrated serving zone, illustrating how a prefabricated outdoor structure can support poolside hospitality, villa gardens and leisure projects.
Its scale and clearly divided functional areas helped visitors understand the product as a complete outdoor living solution rather than a conventional pergola alone. It also provided a practical reference for discussions involving poolside bars, hospitality facilities, resort lounges and multifunctional garden structures.

The CUBE modular aluminum pergola system presented another direction: a flexible platform that can be configured for outdoor cabanas, garden lounges, semi-enclosed seating spaces and commercial installations.
Different roof, screen and decorative combinations showed how one structural language can support multiple product applications and market segments. This modular approach is particularly relevant to retailers, distributors and project partners seeking configurable outdoor products without developing a completely separate structure for every application.
Outdoor cooking was integrated into the booth rather than treated as an isolated category. BBQ counters, storage modules and serving areas were positioned within the wider outdoor-living layout, reflecting the increasing overlap between shade, dining, entertainment and storage.
Visitors interested in outdoor kitchens, grilling areas and equipment protection could also review our BBQ cover solutions and discuss how these products may be adapted for retail collections or project-based requirements.

Product Feedback Was the Most Valuable Result
The most important outcome of the exhibition was not the number of handshakes or a simple count of visitors. It was the quality of the conversations.
Existing partners returned with practical feedback based on previous cooperation. New buyers discussed assortment gaps, target price levels, installation expectations and regional preferences. Designers and outdoor-living specialists examined proportions, surface finishes and the relationship between structure and function.
Several products shown in Cologne had been developed quietly through internal design, engineering and product-iteration work. Seeing them assembled at full scale—and watching how trade professionals touched, opened, compared and questioned them—provided a level of feedback that cannot be obtained from drawings or renderings alone.
This exchange is especially relevant to Outdoor Creation’s development approach. We do not view a product launch as the end of the process. Market feedback, installation experience, and partner input continue to inform product optimization, accessory development, packaging, and future configurations.
The exhibition therefore served both as a commercial platform and as a live product review environment.
International Dialogue in a Changing Garden Market
The official spoga+gafa 2026 report emphasized the importance of high-quality business discussions and international contacts. That conclusion closely matched our own experience in Hall 6.
The fair’s updated “growing forward” concept and theme worlds—including Living, Outdoor Adventure, Creation&Care and BBQ—also reflected a broader movement toward practical, experience-oriented and multifunctional outdoor spaces.
In a market shaped by changing demand, international supply-chain pressure and more selective purchasing decisions, buyers are looking for products that combine clear positioning, reliable manufacturing, adaptable design and realistic commercial value.
Our conversations in Cologne covered residential pergolas, hospitality spaces, poolside projects, modular outdoor rooms, outdoor kitchens, aluminum storage solutions and private-label product development.
The discussions confirmed that the market is moving toward more integrated solutions: products that manage shade, privacy, storage, outdoor cooking and year-round usability within a coordinated system.
